CNC Programmer Job - Shreveport

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a CNC Programmer to join our client in Shreveport, LA.


Client Overview:


This client is a global leader in the energy and utility sector.


Job Responsibilities:


: Write and optimize CNC (computer Numerical Controlled) programs to create complex parts on 3 and 4 axis machining centers and metal punching machinery.
: Develop work holding and select cutting tools.
: Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up machines.
: Write CNC programs for 2 and 4 axis VMC and Plasma Arc Cutting Systems.
: Integrate work with engineering Production Quality Purchasing and Scheduling Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factor.
: Work to meet deadlines.


Job Qualifications:


: Five years experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
: Demonstrated proficiency with CAD (solid modeling) and CAM software.
: Three years of experience using MasterCam.
: Experience in using SolidWorks CATIA and/or Vericut is preferred.
: Proficient with GD and T.
: Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
: Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
: CMM programming experience preferred.
: Experience writing post processors preferred.
